Our client has a history of being on the forefront of new trends and technologies and are one of the largest brands of smoke detectors, carbon monoxide alarms and home safety products in the United States for residential and commercial use. With a leadership team that invests time and resources in developing creative solutions to today’s “plugged-in” consumer needs, they were focused on pioneering an IoT product line and asked Messina to identify a leader to aid in these efforts.
Messina was engaged to fill a Senior Director of IoT Technology role to lead our client in all stages of the development lifecycle from initial concept generation through final delivery and support. The Senior Director lead the development team in software, firmware, cloud and app development efforts. Our Director had experience with product strategies, vendor capability assessment, system architecture, development, test strategies, site strategies, driving products and solutions to market. Additionally, they had also supervised and mentored a diverse group of software engineers, removing impediments in Agile teams and influencing strategic decisions.
