Messina Group seeks a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer for our client in Ozark, AR. The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for development, deployment and management of projects that are focused on improving and/or developing plant processes. Duties will include managing project budgets, developing project objectives, deployment of CAPEX, ensuring that equipment meets production needs and adheres to our client's safety, quality and productivity expectations. The incumbent will be expected to include all relevant stakeholders and process experts in the development of objectives and goals for projects.
- Studies, evaluates, and recommends changes in the production processes to ensure improved safety, quality and productivity while delivering a competitive advantage in personnel, materials, and utilities.
- Develops and performs experimental process tests with respect to safety, quality, production efficiency and cost with detailed result summarization and reporting.
- Assists the departmental manager and other personnel with technical advice on proper process execution and equipment utilization.
- Responsible for budget management, coordination, and timely execution of plant CAPEX and other projects with minimal supervision.
- Generate cost estimates and justification for improvement projects.
- Participate in technical investigations, studies, and root cause analyses and provide sound engineering evaluations and recommendations.
- Ensure equipment is tested and evaluated for safety, quality and performance before being handed over to operations.
- Control project expenses within approved budget. Meet project timelines.
- Work with cross functional teams including Finance, Transportation, and Operations to generate specs, equipment purchase justifications, and shop inspections.
- Leads and participates in formal/informal design reviews.
- Collaborates with external contractors to ensure deliverables are being met.
- Provide sound engineering evaluations and recommendations for proposed actions.
- Prepares designs, scope of work and technical documents for manufacturing equipment projects.

Required:
• 4-year college degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering required
• 5-7 years of prior manufacturing experience
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership position
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel
• Experience with MS Project Pro programs a plus
