Seeking to hire a Product Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Lisle, IL to collaborate with Engineering, Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Distribution Partners to bring products to market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Increase revenue, profitability, and market share of assigned products
- Identify new differentiated products that are broadly applicable to current and potential customers
- Concept test these new ideas with Sales, Target Customers, and Distributors
- Perform a financial analysis to ensure that each proposed development will meet profitability requirements
- Create Voice of the Customer product requirements that specify the needed features to be developed by Engineering
- Work with Legal and Engineering Teams to submit utility and design patent applications
- Review Engineering design proposals to ensure that they meet the requested product requirements
- Create promotional material and sample kits for product launches
- Train Sales, Customers, and Distributors on new product capabilities
- Manage product family roadmap
- Work with plants on capacity planning and cost-reduction activities
- Review and approve pricing requests

- Schedule: 8 am-5 pm; Hybrid Remote
- Location: Lisle, 15% domestic travel and some international
Position Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in product management and/or sales, in high-power interconnect solutions (connectors, busbars, and cable assemblies), or specifically in the electronics industry, is REQUIRED.
- Engineering Degree
- Track record of growing revenue and profitability
- Ability to guide customers to the appropriate product solutions
- Understanding of business metrics and data used to gauge product success
- Organizational skills to anticipate, plan, prioritize, and self-monitor workload
- Interpersonal skills to effectively work with co-workers and external contacts to effectively build relationships, respond positively to situations, and influence others positively to situations, and influence others
- Skills in presenting to large groups
- Willingness to travel to customers and distributors as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Degree
- Experience and knowledge in the Datacenter, Electrification, or Industrial markets
